Our permanent collection spans more than 600 years of artistic production with works by many of history’s famous artists.  The Arkansas Arts Center collection focuses on drawings and contemporary craft and also includes significant paintings, sculptures, prints and photographs.  The AAC campus is nestled in the beautiful Historic Downtown MacArthur Park offering experiences that feed both the heart and mind.

Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Admission to the Arkansas Arts Center is free with the exception of special ticketed exhibitions. The 12th National Drawing Invitational is a free exhibition.

The Arkansas Arts Center is located at 501 East 9th Street in Little Rock. The main entrance is approximately two blocks west of the intersection of I-30 and 9th street after you exit the interstate. The main entrance is along Commerce Street.
Traveling North into Little Rock on I-30

Pass I-630 in Little Rock and take the 9th Street exit. Turn left onto 9th Street, cross the interstate and travel two blocks to Commerce Street. You will see MacArthur Park on your left. Turn left onto Commerce Street and the Arkansas Arts Center will be on the immediate left.
Traveling South into Little Rock on I-30

Cross the Arkansas River Bridge on I-30 into Little Rock and take the 9th Street exit. Turn right at the stoplight and travel two blocks to Commerce Street. Turn left onto Commerce and the Arkansas Arts Center will be on the immediate left.

guided tours

Museum docents give free 1-hour tours every weekend of collection highlights and featured exhibitions. Tours are held Saturdays at 1 p.m. and Sundays at 1 p.m.
Adult groups are encouraged to book a tour with one of our knowledgeable and friendly volunteer docents. Guided tours require two weeks advanced notice.  If you would like to schedule a tour please call 501-372-4000.
Self-guided groups must make a reservation to avoid unnecessary over-crowding of the galleries. To make a reservation, call 501-372-4000. Please check in at the Information Desk upon arrival.
